Balance & Breathe: A Yoga Time Out for Parents

 March 25, 2018 | 12:30pm-2:30pm

Bellani Maternity
1276 Bald Hill Rd.
Warwick, RI 02886

Providence Moms Blog is thrilled to partner with the incredible Manda Doughtery, to bring you Balance & Breath; A Yoga Time Out for Parents. This two-hour workshop was created especially with parents in mind and aims to help you learn and practice the skills you need to remain calm amidst the chaos of parenting. In this practice, we will hone in on the tools that we already have to cultivate a sense of peace throughout chaos during the stormy times with our children. We will learn to remove ourselves from the moment, find that inner breath and truly assess the moment for what it is really worth.

This class is will be appropriate for ALL LEVELS. No previous yoga experience is necessary.

If you have ever been frustrated with yourself for losing patience with your kids, if you tend to absorb the stress of those around you, or if you just need a timeout – this class is for you.

Tickets will go on sale March 1 and will include the workshop and light refreshments.

Manda, E-RYT 200, was an aspiring actress, dancer, and dreamer for most of her life. It wasn’t until she found her way to the “mat” that she truly knew what it was like to embrace a fulfilled feeling. She has taught all over the country; from down south in Savannah, GA where she completed her 200-hour training, all the way back to New England. Manda has taught both adults and youth, as well as special populations in hospitals, prisons, and general care. Prior to having her son just 3 years ago, Manda taught 22 classes a week at a variety of locations. Then that tiny little joy in her life gave her time to take a step back, and now she has an additional baby girl to love as well. Manda believes once you find that inner connection you realize that your practice evolves into a lifestyle ~ your own manifesto. She teaches a vinyasa based practice. Her classes are spunky, diverse and, most importantly they will cater to students of all levels. She currently offers classes at the Y, as well as Workshops throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Bloom: An Event for New and Expectant Mothers

May 6, 2018 | 12pm – 3pm

Providence Moms Blog is excited to bring Bloom to Providence for the first time ever in 2018! Bloom is the premier national event where new and expecting moms are able to connect with one another and learn about products and services that make life easier. Join us on May 6th at the beautiful Providence Marriott Downtown for an afternoon of all things new mom. You can expect an afternoon of fun and resources. There will be high-end swag, giveaways, demonstrations (the useful stuff as well as the fun stuff like hair and make tips for busy moms!), a fantastic panel of REAL moms who will answer your burning questions about all things new mom, and a variety of mom and baby focused local resources. There will also be food – we wouldn’t dream of not feeding moms!

We are excited to be partnering with City Moms Blog Network and 50 of our sister sites to bring this event to our local communities with an estimated attendance of over 4,000+ moms across the US!

This event is geared towards moms who are currently expecting a baby (whether it’s your 1st or 3rd), had a baby within the last year, are a foster mom of infants, or are planning on growing your family soon.

Tickets will go sale early April – but in the meantime, you can find all the information you need by following this event page on Facebook. 💞

At the heart of Providence Moms Blog is a commitment to providing opportunities for moms to connect, with and without kids. Our online community is wonderful, but we want to help build lasting friendships and relationships by getting offline and out into our community!

We host a wide variety of events like Playgroups, Moms Night Out, Date Nights, and Family Nights. Look for events to support our community, service opportunities, and chances to give back to the city we call home. Check back often to find details and registration for upcoming events!

Interested in future event sponsorship?

We will be working with several local businesses as Event Sponsors in a variety of roles. Being a Sponsor can include hosting an event, contributing products to swag bags, sponsoring giveaways and more! This is a great opportunity for local businesses to get their brand and products into the hands of influential moms in the community and get effective exposure to our online audience.
