Trio of Local Moms Launch Providence Moms Blog
Friends creating a community for local moms both on and off line

PROVIDENCE, R.I. Motivated to build a strong community of moms in the Providence area, three local women are launching Providence Moms Blog on April 18, 2017. Under the ownership of Brooke Rainville, Lindsey Galvao, and Tracy Slater, this new resource will serve moms in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. Providence Moms Blog will be the prominent resource area moms will turn to for encouragement, information, and connection.
With eight children between them, ranging in age from a newborn to a 22-year-old with special needs, Rainville, Galvao, and Slater can relate to other moms no matter where they are on their journey of motherhood. In addition to providing thoughtful on-line content, Providence Moms Blog will also host off-line events where moms can meet face to face.
“Motherhood is demanding and isolating,” said Lindsey Galvao, Providence Moms Blog Co-Owner & Co-Founder. “We wanted to find ways to help moms build their network of support by meeting in person at planned events specifically designed with their interests and needs in mind, to have a safe space to write about their parenting struggles and successes, and to communicate with other moms so they know they are not alone.”
Providence Moms Blog joins 68 parenting resource websites across the country, through City Moms Blog Network.
“Providence Moms Blog will not only bring the influence of local information to readers in Providence, but it will be tapped into the assets of 68 mom-focused sites across the country,” said Stephanie Flies, City Moms Blog Network founder and director. “Brooke Rainville, Lindsey Galvao, and Tracy Slater have caught a fantastic vision for the moms in their community and we are ready and excited to support them in this journey with Providence Moms Blog.”
In the coming days and weeks, Providence-area moms can look forward to reading about other area moms and their stories local businesses, product reviews and event programming.
