We are so grateful that through our partnership with Dunkin' Donuts, we can share all the details about the awesome perks of the 'Fill Up to Fuel Up' program with our readers!

Holding Dunkin' Donuts Iced Coffee in Car Providence Moms BlogAs a mother of a first grader and a preschooler, it may come as no surprise that two things are very constant in my life: I drink a lot of coffee and I do a lot of driving. It is not uncommon for me to plan my errands and child drop-offs and pick-ups around the closest Dunks’ drive-thru so I can get my caffeine fix (which in my case, is a medium black cold brew). And most days, it feels like I spend my entire day in my car. All this driving means that I’m filling up my sedan with a new tank of gas once a week, which can be tough on my wallet.

I swear that Dunkin’ Donuts had me in mind when they partnered with Shell for their “Fill Up To Fuel Up” program. Running through September 16, 2018, and available ONLY in New England (Rhode Island and Massachusetts are both included), DD Perks® and Shell Fuel Rewards® members with Gold Status have an opportunity to save 10 cents per gallon after every fifth beverage purchase at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants. So, get your daily fix of Dunkin’ Donuts, fill up your gas tank at Shell, and start saving money. It’s that simple. There’s no waiting to cash in rewards later, no gimmicks — just tangible savings when you decide to fuel your vehicle and your body.

Plus, there are so many other great benefits to being a DD Perks member.  With DD Perks, you earn five points for every dollar you spend on qualifying purchases at Dunkin’ Donuts when you use an enrolled DD Card, either plastic or via the Dunkin’ Mobile App. Once you accrue 200 points, you get a coupon for a free beverage of your choice, redeemable at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants. DD Perks members also receive a coupon for a free, any-size beverage upon enrollment and on their birthday, which translates into a lot of much-needed coffee for this tired mama.

So moms, join me this summer in saving money on gas while getting your caffeine fix. And hopefully, I’ll see you in the drive-thru line coming back from summer camp drop-off!

Lindsey Galvao
Born and raised in Providence, Lindsey graduated from La Salle Academy, moved to the Midwest for college, and moved back home to attend graduate school at Brown University. She met her husband, Ricardo, junior year of high school in English class, but refused to date him because her mother thought he was such a “nice boy.” Strangely, mothers are always right, and Lindsey and Ricardo started dating after they graduated college. Fast forward 10 years, two cats, and two precocious daughters later, Lindsey is a former history teacher turned freelancer who dabbles in curriculum development and is determined to make her corner of the universe a better place. Helping others is her greatest source of inspiration, and being involved in her community keeps her both exhausted and optimistic. When she’s not reading to or having dance parties with her children, Lindsey can be found drinking copious amount of black coffee, singing as a soprano section leader in her local church choir, perusing the farmers market, working out at CrossFit, spending way too much money on Amazon Prime, or wandering in the library or bookstore. She loves nothing more than a good book, the chance to support local businesses, and spending time with her awesome family.
